A recent meta-analysis of 9 human clinical trials showed efficacy for cardiovascular benefits with doses of oleuropein ranging from 40 mg/d to 425 mg/d with an average dose of 130 mg/d. Some studies also listed amounts of hydroxytyrosol, but oleuropein was the main active ingredient.
